to announce that Joshua Sinclair's true life drama "Jump"
will screen on Thursday, October 8, at 8 p.m.at The Backlot Film

celebrity portrait artists of his generation, creating memorable
images of famous personalities (Salvidor Dali, Marilyn Monroe, etc)
often jumping in midair for LIFE Magazine. But Halsman harbors a
dark secret about his life before coming to America.
In 1928, young Phillippe Halsman (Ben Silverstone) and his bullying
father,Morduch, share a troubled relationship which increasingly
turns sour as the two embark on a hiking tour in Austria. The National
Socialists (Nazis) were just coming to power in Austria at this
time. Mordoch (Heinz Hoenig) carries on an affair with a local barmaid
(Sybil Danning) which further estranges him from his son.
When Mordoch is found murdered on a trail, Phillippe is charged
with the crime. Defending Phillippe is Jewish lawyer, Richard Pressburger
(Played by Patrick Swayze) who has the daunting task of defending
Phillippe during the rise of National Socialism and the growing
prejudice of local citizens against the Jewish people.
